Guwahati, Jan 07: Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, a highly anticipated journey, is scheduled to enter Assam on January 18, as announced during a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan in Guwahati. All India Congress Committee (AICC) spokesperson Mahima Singh and Congress MLA Bharat Narah shared the details during the media address.

The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra led by Rahul Gandhi is expected to commence its Assam leg in Amguri, located in the Sivasagar district, on January 18.

Covering an extensive distance of 833 kilometers, the yatra will traverse through 17 districts in Assam, including Amguri, Jorhat, Majuli, Dhemaji, Lakhimpur, Tezpur, Kaliabar, Nagaon, Guwahati, Hajo, Mukalmuwa, Senga, Barpeta, Howly, Sarbhog, Manikpur, Bongaigaon, Chapor, Bilasipara, Gauripur, Golakganj, and Bakshirhat.

As part of the yatra, a large-scale public rally is also planned in Assam, where the presidents of the Congress booth-level committees are expected to be present.

Simultaneously, a crucial meeting is scheduled to take place in Azara, Guwahati, to discuss the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and strategize on Rahul Gandhi’s Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in the state.

The meeting will witness the participation of Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal, Congress party’s Assam in-charge Jitendra Singh, and other key office bearers of the Assam Congress unit. This assembly aims to shape the party’s approach and plans for both the electoral battle and the impactful yatra led by Rahul Gandhi.
