Guwahati, Feb 26: In a coordinated effort between Assam Police and Assam Rifles, a significant seizure of illicit drugs occurred in the Cachar district, highlighting ongoing efforts to combat narcotics trafficking in the region.

During the operation, authorities apprehended a 21-year-old individual and confiscated a total of 126 grams of brown sugar.

The contraband was concealed within 10 soap cases, indicating attempts to smuggle the illicit substance discreetly.

Following standard procedures, the seized narcotics were confiscated, and the suspect was placed under arrest.
