Sikkim issues guidelines for Unlock phase-1:

June 7, 2020: After lasting for more than two months, the lockdown is finally going to be lifted in phases, for which Sikkim has issued guidelines for Unlock phase-1

Like in the rest of the states, the government of Sikkim to has released its guidelines as to the restrictions and relaxations to be made from June 8.

In line with the guidelines of the Central government, Sikkim has decided to allow activities in restaurants, sweet shops, bakeries and fast food centres. These places are to remain open from 8 AM to 8 PM.

However, only buying food and home delivery will be allowed. Sitting inhouse and having meals will remain restricted for now.

No religious, political, as well as social gatherings will be allowed.

Taxis, commercial, private and government vehicles are to ply alternatively or on odd-even basis along with special permit vehicles and essential services vehicles until further notification.

All Shops including stand-alone shops are open, but shopping malls and complexes.

Gyms, sports complex, auditoriums, cinema halls, swimming pools, hotels are to remain closed.

All educational institutes will also remain closed. Government offices will operate with 30% staff capacity.

Intra District movement has been permitted, but restrictions have been made on inter-district and interstate movements.

Bringing back stranded individuals will continue.
