Gangtok, Sep 27: Indra Hang Subba, the Lok Sabha MP from Sikkim, has been appointed as a member of the prestigious Committee on Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution.

This appointment places him in a crucial role, focusing on significant national issues related to consumer rights, food security, and public distribution systems, which are essential for the country’s economic stability and welfare.

The committee, which operates under the leadership of Dr. Nishikant Dubey, will play a vital role in shaping policies that impact millions of Indians.

Along with Subba, several other prominent parliamentarians have been included in the committee.

Notably, Rajmohan Unnithan and Kanimozhi Karunanidhi, a key leader from Tamil Nadu, have also been appointed. Kanimozhi Karunanidhi will serve as the Chairperson of the Committee, bringing her experience and leadership to the forefront.
