For four days, starting on Monday, the assembly engaged in discussions of crucial aspects of the state’s development and governance.
In a departure from traditional partisan rhetoric, Speaker Longkumer offered a non-partisan perspective on the proceedings, particularly focusing on the Budget 2024-25.
He lauded the budget’s comprehensive and people-centric approach in tackling Nagaland’s socio-economic challenges.
Longkumer commended the chief minister and the minister-in-charge of Finance for their efforts in crafting the budget, while also acknowledging the contributions of senior government officials in translating budgetary allocations into actionable plans.
