Kolkata, Dec 21: After two years of low-key celebrations due to the pandemic, the Kolkata Christmas Festival returns this year in all its splendor and grandeur and will move outside the city to churches throughout Kolkata.

Starting on December 21, Park Street and Allen Park will have food, entertainment, and more to enjoy over the holiday season. This year Santa Claus is coming to Kolkata on a hand rickshaw wearing Gamocha and Dhoti!

The Christmas and year-end carnival on Park Street will go on till January 5 with food stalls making a comeback after a two-year hiatus. Starting on December 21, there will be food, music, and more on offer for revelers in the festive season.

In addition to the celebration in Kolkata, the illumination of churches at Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Jalpaiguri, Chandernagore, Bandel, Krishnagore and Baruipur and police Commissionerate at Alipurduar, Asansol, Howrah, Bidhannagar and Jhargram town will be done between December 21 and January 1.
