Three more COVID-19 patients discharged from Assam hospitals

Guwahati, May 1: Three more COVID-19 patients were discharged from hospitals of Assam on Friday.

With this Assam has so far discharged 32 COVID-19 patients from hospitals.

On Friday, two COVID-19 patients from Morigaon district were discharged from Mahendra Mohan Choudhury hospital in Guwahati and another patient was discharged from Golaghat civil hospital.

Assam has reported 42 positive cases for COVID-19 so far and out of the one patient died while he was undergoing treatment at the hospital.

As of now, Assam has 9 active positive cases for COVID-19.

Assam Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma said that, three COVID-19 patients have been discharged from two hospitals on Friday and with this, a total of 32 COVID-19 patients have been discharged from the hospitals till now.

“After discharging these three patients, no COVID-19 positive cases are being now active in Morigaon, Golaghat, and Nalbari districts,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

On the other hand, one COVID-19 patient from Dimapur in Nagaland was also discharged from Guwahati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) on Friday.

The Assam Health minister said that, the patient from Nagaland was admitted at Guwahati Medical College Hospital on April 12 last and he was tested positive for COVID-19.

“After tested negative in several times, the patient from Nagaland is being now discharged from hospital,” Himanta Biswa Sarma said.

On Thursday, five fresh COVID-19 positive cases were detected in Bongaigaon and Karmganj district.
