Agartala, Jan 30: Tipra Motha, the principal opposition party in Tripura, is on the verge of achieving a constitutional solution for the indigenous population as talks with the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) reach the final stage.

The party, currently holding power in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council, has been advocating for constitutional measures to address the long-standing deprivation faced by indigenous people in the state.

Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, former Tripura Motha Chairman Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma have reportedly traveled to Delhi for a crucial meeting with Home Ministry Advisor AK Mishra.

The focus of the meeting is expected to be Tipra Motha’s demand for a constitutional solution, addressing the concerns of indigenous communities that have persisted for the last 75 years.
