1. Tripura establishes a Voter Help Line in all 60 Assembly Constituencies for Lok Sabha elections.
2. The aim is to provide a centralized system for addressing voter queries and complaints
3. The initiative targets smoother operations during the upcoming General Election.
Agartala, April 15: Tripura has taken a proactive step to ensure smooth operations during the General Election to the Lok Sabha by establishing a Voter Help Line in all 60 Assembly Constituencies.
This initiative aims to provide voters and political parties with a centralized system to address their queries, issues, and complaints.
Under the directive of Chief Electoral Officer Puneet Agarwal, each Assembly Segment now has a dedicated Complaint Redressal Officer (CRO) responsible for managing the Voter Help Line.
These officers, appointed by the Assistant Returning Officer (ARO), oversee mobile numbers equipped with WhatsApp for communication.
They are tasked with recording complaints, addressing them promptly, and assigning suitable officers or teams to resolve them.

Additionally, the designated CROs are entrusted with monitoring social media handles associated with their respective Assembly Segments.
They keep track of any news or issues circulating on platforms like Twitter and Facebook, taking appropriate action as needed.
This multifaceted approach ensures that concerns raised via social media are promptly addressed alongside traditional channels.
To streamline the process further, the Complaint Redressal Officers have been granted authority to collaborate with various civil and police sector officers, including Flying Squads, Static Surveillance teams, and Officer-in-Charges of police stations.
This collaboration enables swift action on complaints received through the Voter Help Line, ensuring efficient resolution under the supervision of the Assistant Returning Officer and Returning Officer.
By establishing this comprehensive framework, Tripura aims to uphold the integrity of the electoral process, address concerns in real time, and foster greater transparency and accountability in the run-up to the Lok Sabha elections.
