New Delhi, Dec 21: Twitter, also known as X, experienced another outage on Thursday morning, leaving user timelines empty. Although the website and apps were functional, users couldn’t see any tweets on their tabs, including Following, For You, and Lists.

The outage is global, not limited to Indian users, and it specifically affects tweet visibility. The #TwitterDown hashtag quickly trended as users could create and post tweets, but these remained invisible to others.

This isn’t the first time the Elon Musk-owned platform has faced technical difficulties in recent months. On December 14, all outgoing links suddenly stopped working, attributed to a URL redirect function issue.

Users encountered a humorous error message during this incident. Twitter experienced disruptions in March and July this year.

In July, Downdetector recorded over 13,000 instances of Twitter being down in the US and the UK, with users receiving an error message about rate limits.

During the March 6 outage, the platform went dark for a few hours, causing difficulties in accessing links, images, and videos. Users across various regions reported slower website performance than usual.

The current outage raises concerns about the platform’s stability and user experience, highlighting the challenges faced by social media platforms in maintaining uninterrupted services. Twitter users continue to experience intermittent issues, and the duration of the ongoing outage remains uncertain.
