Two Assam youths among 150 missing in Uttarakhand glacier burst incident

Assam, Feb 8: Two youths of Assam’s Nagaon district have reportedly gone missing in Uttarakhand glacier burst incident on Sunday.

According to reports, the youths have been identified as Amarjyoti Das and Kamal Das, both from North Changsoki village under the Kampur police station in Nagaon district.

The youths worked in a private company in Chamoli district.

A local resident of Kampur area said that they have received the news that two brothers of a very poor family have gone missing in Uttarakhand glacier burst incident.

The family has broken down as they have not received any further updates after being contacted by the supervisor at the site of the incident over the phone informing that the two brothers have gone missing in the glacier-burst incident.

The family members of the missing youths have urged the government to take appropriate measures to locate them.

I urge the government to make arrangements to locate my child,” the mother of the missing brothers said.
