Gangtok, Jan 06: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman touched down at Bagdogra airport in Sikkim on January 6 for a three-day visit to participate in various strategic credit outreach programs.

The visit is scheduled from January 6 to January 8, 2024.

As part of her itinerary, Sitharaman will join a Credit Outreach Programme organized by the State Bank of India at Manan Kendra, Gangtok, on the first day of her visit.

On January 7, she is set to visit the border village of Kupup, where she will take part in another Credit Outreach Programme organized by NABARD.

The reception at Bagdogra Airport was led by Kumar Bardewa, Principal Director of the Budget, Finance Department, Government of Sikkim, along with officials from SBI, NABARD, and representatives from the Home Department Protocol Unit in Siliguri.
