Imphal, April 13: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is scheduled to visit Manipur on April 15 to bolster the BJP and NPF candidate’s campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha Election.

Preparations are underway at Hapta Kangjeibung to welcome Shah for his campaign rally.

According to sources, Shah is expected to arrive at Imphal International Airport at 3 pm on April 15. From there, he will proceed directly to Hapta Kangjeibung to address the public.

During his brief visit, Shah will lend his support to Thounaojam Basanta Kumar Singh, the BJP candidate for the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, and Kachui Timothy Zimik, the NPF candidate for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary Constituency.

After the election rally, Shah will depart from Imphal on the same day.

It’s noteworthy that Shah previously visited the state in May last year, spending around three days to assess the situation during a period of heightened conflict.
