New Delhi, Dec 08: Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has assumed a crucial role as a member of the Parliamentary Board’s Central Observer team for the selection of the Legislative Assembly leader in Chhattisgarh. This move by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) reflects its focus on key states, with central observers also appointed for Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh.

The BJP has strategically chosen observers to oversee the chief minister selection process in various states. For Rajasthan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey, and party National General Secretary Vinod Tawde have been appointed after receiving approval from the party’s Parliamentary Board.

In Madhya Pradesh, the central observer team includes Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, OBC Morcha National President K. Laxman, and National Secretary Asha Lakra. This trio will play a pivotal role in facilitating the selection of the chief minister for Madhya Pradesh.

For Chhattisgarh, Union Tribal Minister Arjun Munda, along with Union Ports, Shipping, Waterways, and AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and National General Secretary Dushyant Kumar Gautam, have been designated as central observers. This team will oversee the process of electing the leader of the Legislative Assembly in Chhattisgarh.

The appointment of central observers underscores the BJP’s commitment to a systematic and inclusive approach in selecting chief ministers for these states. The involvement of key leaders in this process reflects the party’s strategy to ensure effective governance and leadership in crucial regions.
