Weather Northeast JAWAD

Weather, Dec 6: The Deep Depression (remnant of Cyclonic Storm ‘JAWAD’) over Northwest & adjoining West-central Bay of Bengal moved north-northeast with a speed of 20 kmph during past 06 hours, and lay centred at 0830 hrs IST of today, the 05th December 2021, over northwest & adjoining the west-central Bay of Bengal.

Due to the North-Northeastward movement of the Cyclonic Storm JAWAD, Northeast states may experience weather change in the form of light to moderate rainfall at many places with heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places during 06 December 2021.

It is likely to move north northeastwards, weaken further into depression and reach the Odisha coast near Puri during the next 06 hours. Subsequently, it is likely to continue to move north northeastwards along Odisha coast towards West Bengal coast and weaken into a Well Marked Low-Pressure Area around midnight of 05th December.

Arunachal Pradesh: Dry Weather likely.

Assam & Meghalaya: Light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall. Thunderstorm/ Lightning at Isolated Places.

Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura: Light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall. Thunderstorm/ Lightning at Isolated Places.

Light to moderate rainfall at most places with isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely in Cachar, Karimganj & Hailakandi districts and isolated heavy rainfall in Dima Hasao district of Assam.

Mamit & Kolasib districts to witness isolated heavy rainfall in Aizawl district of Mizoram.

Light to moderate rainfall at many places with isolated heavy rainfall is very likely in Tamelong, Pherzawl, Jiribam, Churachandpur & Noney districts of Manipur.
