Agartala, Dec 18: The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) is gearing up for a statewide campaign in Tripura to extend invitations to the inauguration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, scheduled for January 22.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the newly constructed temple during this significant event.

VHP Tripura prant president, Sachin Koloi, announced that eight brass pots containing ‘prasad’ from Ayodhya have already arrived in the state. These pots will be dispatched to various district headquarters, and volunteers will actively invite residents to join the inauguration ceremony on January 22.

The invitation campaign is scheduled to commence on January 1 and will run until January 15, ensuring an extensive outreach across the state.

The VHP aims to engage the public and encourage their participation in the historic event at the Ram Mandir.

Sankar Roy, VHP secretary of the Tripura chapter, highlighted that the organization will also orchestrate special rituals (puja) at temples in each Mandal of the state on January 22 to commemorate this momentous occasion.

The arrival of ‘prasad’ from Ayodhya symbolizes the sacred offerings associated with the temple’s inauguration, creating a connection between the faithful in Tripura and the grand event in Ayodhya.

With the involvement of VHP volunteers and the distribution of invitations, the organization seeks to unite people in Tripura and foster their active participation in the auspicious ceremony at the Ram Mandir.
