Muzaffarnagar, Jan 06: In the wake of a video showing hair stylist Jawed Habib spitting on a woman’s head on Twitter, the stylist has been embroiled in controversy. The video shows Habib spitting on a woman’s head in front of everyone at a training seminar in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh because her hair is dry.
Additionally, he is heard laughingly joking that his spit has power. Currently, however, there is no way to verify the authenticity of the video or the date from which it was filmed.
On the stage of the video, we can see a woman sitting on a salon chair. Habib casually spits on the hair of the woman while giving tips to the people present at the training seminar, saying “Agar paani ki kami hai na, is thook mein jaan hai,” meaning, “if there is any lack of water, this spit will rejuvinate it”. At the same time, people present there are heard laughing and clapping.

A woman who was in the video has spoken out about her humiliating experience afterwards.
In a video, she said, ”My name is Pooja Gupta and the name of my parlour is Vanshika Beauty Parlour. I am a resident of Baraut and yesterday I attended a seminar by Jawed Habib Sir. He invited me on stage for a haircut, and when he misbehaved so much. He portrayed that if one does not have any water then they can also do a hair cut with their spit. So I did not get my hair cut. I will get my hair cut by the local hairdresser of my lane, but never from Jawed Habib.”
The women on whose head Jawed Habib spat, describes the public humiliation.
