Assam, March 25: A cyclonic circulation over Northeastern India will bring isolated to scattered rain/snow with lightning over the region in this forecast period. While scattered snow or rain is likely across Arunachal Pradesh on Thursday and Friday, just scattered rains are predicted over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura on Sunday and Monday.

Further, a trough and circulation could also persist over Southern India, thereby causing isolated to scattered rains with lightning over Kerala in this period.

Meanwhile, a fresh Western Disturbance (WD) is forecast to affect the Western Himalayan Region (WHR) from Saturday night. It is expected to bring scattered to fairly widespread snow or rain with thunderstorms and lightning over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, and Ladakh on Sunday and Monday.

Dry weather conditions will be visible across Central, Western, and Eastern India in this period, and over Northern India from Thursday to Saturday.

As for the mercury levels, maximum temperatures of 40°C or more are possible over isolated regions across Western and Southern India on Thursday, and they will spread out from Saturday. Moreover, maximum temperatures of 40°C or more are also likely over south Haryana, Rajasthan, and Gujarat, south Uttar Pradesh, a part of Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana on Monday.

Maximum temperatures will be below average over Central India and adjoining areas from Thursday to Saturday, while other areas are likely to witness near-normal or warmer temperatures in this period.

On the other hand, the minimum temperatures will be near-normal or slightly below average over Central India in this period. Other areas, however, shall remain warmer in this period.
