Assam woman

Guwahati, May 02: A woman was found dead inside her home in the Boko area of Assam, causing a shock to the community. The victim has been identified as Aimee Sultana, and she was allegedly found dead on her bed in the Makeli area of Boko.

Sources reveal that the victim’s husband, Maqbool Ali, has been suspected of committing the murder, which prompted the police to take him into custody. The police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of Aimee’s death.

This incident is not the first of its kind in Assam. In fact, on April 17, the body of a married woman was found under mysterious circumstances in the Cachar district of Assam.

It is suspected that the woman was killed by her in-laws, who had been torturing her for several months for dowry. The accused family is currently on the run, and it is believed that it was a premeditated murder, made to look like a suicide by the husband’s family.

Such incidents of violence against women are a matter of grave concern in society, and it is important to take measures to prevent them. The issue of dowry-related violence is rampant in many parts of India, and despite the government’s efforts to curb this practice, it continues to exist.

The Dowry Prohibition Act was passed in 1961 to protect women from such harassment, but it has not been able to completely eliminate the practice. Women are still being subjected to dowry demands and tortured for not meeting these demands.

It is important for society to take a strong stand against such practices and provide support to women who are victims of such violence. The government, civil society organizations, and the media need to work together to create awareness about this issue and take necessary steps to prevent such incidents from happening.

It is also important for families and communities to take a stand against dowry-related violence and support the victims of such violence. Society needs to send a clear message that violence against women will not be tolerated and that perpetrators will be held accountable for their actions.
