Agartala, Feb 27: In a disturbing case of moral policing, a young man named Anup Das was subjected to a brutal assault in his own home in Satsangam village, under the jurisdiction of the Kadamtala police station in North Tripura district.

The victim was reportedly tied to a pole and subjected to merciless beating, resulting in severe injuries and significant blood loss.

Upon receiving information about the incident, the police promptly intervened, rescuing Das and rushing him to the hospital. His condition is reported to be critical.

Four individuals identified as Kosh Akura, Lob Akura, Panna Akura, and Samarjit Akura have been apprehended in connection with the assault.
