Sports, April 23:ย Yuzvendra Chahal made history in the IPL, becoming the first bowler to claim 200 wickets in the tournament. Achieving the milestone during RR’s clash with MI, Chahal reached the landmark by dismissing Mohammad Nabi.

In a crucial over, Chahal outfoxed Nabi, who offered a simple caught and bowled opportunity. With this wicket, MI found themselves struggling at 52 for 4 after opting to bat first.

Chahal has been a key player for RR since joining them in 2022, notably winning the Purple Cap in that season with 27 wickets.

He currently ranks third in RR’s all-time leading wicket-takers list, behind Shane Warne and Siddharth Trivedi.

Throughout this IPL season, Chahal has maintained his form, consistently featuring among the top wicket-takers alongside Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel. Last year, he surpassed Dwayne Bravo to become the tournament’s highest wicket-taker.

Despite a tough outing against KKR, where he conceded 54 runs, Chahal remains determined to secure a spot in India’s squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
