Uttarakhand, Nov 14: Two workers from Assam’s Ramphalbil village in Kokrajhar, Sanjay Basumatary, and Ramprasad Narzary, are among the 40 individuals trapped in the Silkyara tunnel collapse in Uttarakhand. The incident occurred on the night of November 11, leading to desperate appeals from the families of the trapped workers.

Since the news broke, family members have been frantically reaching out, seeking information about the well-being and whereabouts of Sanjay Basumatary and Ramprasad Narzary. Rocket Basumatary, Sanjay’s elder brother and also a laborer at the incident site, was fortunately contacted by family members.

Ramprasad Narzary’s wife expressed her concerns, saying, “My son’s name is Ramprasad Narzary. Two lads from Ramphalbil village went there to work. I request the governments of both the states to rescue all the trapped workers safely.”

The families of the two workers are fervently appealing to the government for the swift and safe rescue of their loved ones. The collapse of the under-construction tunnel has created an urgent situation, emphasizing the need for coordinated efforts to ensure the well-being of those trapped.
