Imphal, June 29: Manipur witnessed another act of violence as miscreants set fire to an Eastern Manipur Presbyterian (EMP) church and a Kuki-Zo house in the constituency of Chief Minister N Biren Singh. The incident occurred at Lamlongei, Heingang, late in the evening, and reports suggest that the perpetrators also looted the properties before fleeing the scene.
This recent act of arson follows another incident that took place just two days earlier when a shop was set ablaze in Chingmairong, shortly after Chief Minister N Biren Singh had met with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi to discuss the state’s current situation.
