AAI distributes food grains to the local public of Hollongi in Arunachal Pradesh:

Guwahati, April 19: AAI distributes food grains in Arunachal Pradesh. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has been consistently devoting resources towards Corporate Social Responsibility endeavors at various stations in the North Eastern Region.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) is distributing rice to daily wagers, workers and a similar group of peoples nearby the vicinity of Hollongi Airport project.

On Saturday, AAI officials had distributed about 7.2-ton rice to community heads of Chakma, Karbi, Niyishi which further were distributed to the people in the presence of local MLA Tana Hali Tara of Doimukh and Tasso Gambo, ADC, Balijan in Arunachal Pradesh.

The CSR/CER program of AAI is focused to connect underprivileged families with the privileged one and AAI is continuously working in the effort apart from developing aviation infrastructure in the North Eastern Region.

The Airports Authority of India (AAI) at North Eastern Region (NER) has taken a call to eradicate hunger in and around the area of Hollongi Airport and other stations/ airports, especially during the nationwide lockdown due to Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.

Supporting the district administration in the fight against COVID-19, funds provided by AAI under the CER scheme will be utilized to procure rice and distribution to the public surrounding Hollongi Airport, Arunachal Pradesh.

AAI officials P.Govindarajulu, Narsad Hussain, Nabam Ajay and MLA Tana Hali Tara, Doimukh and district administrative Tasso Gambo, ADC, Balijanwere also present in rice distribution to public near-by Hollongi Airport project.

Hollongi is a greenfield airport project undertaken by AAI and it will be first of its kind airport in the state of handling A 320 and similar commercial aircrafts.
