Mumbai, March 15: Amitabh Bachchan was recently admitted to Kokilaben Hospital in Mumbai, according to a report. The actor sought medical attention after experiencing shortness of breath and subsequently underwent a medical procedure.

Reports indicate that doctors at Kokilaben Hospital confirmed that Amitabh Bachchan underwent an angioplasty early Friday.

While an official statement is expected from his PR team later in the day, Bachchan has been discharged from the hospital. Contrary to some rumors, the angioplasty was performed on a clot in his leg, not his heart.

Amid these health concerns, Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter on Friday to express gratitude. Alongside his tweet, he shared a video promoting his Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) team. However, neither Amitabh nor his family has released an official statement regarding his health.

This is not the first time Amitabh Bachchan has faced health challenges. Earlier this year, he underwent surgery for his wrist, as evidenced by pictures shared on his blog.

In March last year, while shooting for Kalki 2898 AD in Hyderabad, Amitabh suffered an injury that resulted in bed rest. This incident caused him to miss promotional events for the film due to medical restrictions.

Despite these health setbacks, Amitabh Bachchan continues to stay active in his professional endeavors.

He recently shared on his blog that he had been shooting for Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD, with the film set to release on May 9th.

As the completion of the project approaches, Bachchan remains committed to delivering an exceptional cinematic experience to his audience.
