Police Control van

Itanagar, Aug 13: Itanagar Capital Complex Police on August 12 launched the first women police control room (PCR) van for women’s safety in the state capital. It will also help women in distress to approach the police easily, officials said.

The women’s PCR vehicle was flagged off by Itanagar Capital Complex superintendent of police Jimmy Chiram in a brief programme at the SP office in Itanagar in presence of the officers and police personnel.

Earlier, the SP highlighted the importance of the emergency response support system (ERSS) in providing swift assistance to people in distress and crime control. He also emphasized the importance and role of women PCR in controlling crime against women.
