Howrah Bridge Tricolour

Kolkata, Aug 14: Howrah Bridge and Victoria Memorial in West Bengal’s Kolkata on Saturday illuminated in Tricolour. The heritage sites were illuminated in the Tricolour for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign announced by PM Narendra Modi ahead of 75th Independence Day.

To mark the 75th Independence Day Kolkata’s iconic Howrah Station has been illuminated in Tricolor. These iconic are looking so beautiful in the tricolor. It has attracted the passerby.

The central government has launched a ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under which people are being encouraged to hoist the tricolor at their houses as part of the 75 years of India’s Independence.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) is also gearing up to hoist the national flag at the sites of 150 of its monuments on Independence Day.

Besides, logistical work is also being done to illuminate 150 monuments in a tricolor theme, which is expected to start in a few days.

The main Independence Day celebrations take place annually at Red Fort where the Prime Minister hoists the national flag on the ramparts of the Mughal-era monument. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Delhi besides Qutub Minar and Humayun’s Tomb.
