Namsai, June 10: Arunachal Pradesh is currently playing host to the much-anticipated two-day Civil 20 (C20) summit, which is an integral part of the G20 programs. According to officials, approximately 150 delegates from 23 countries are expected to participate in the event, which commenced on Saturday.

In anticipation of the summit, Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu took to Twitter to offer a glimpse of the prestigious occasion.

In his tweet, he warmly welcomed all the esteemed delegates and expressed the privilege of honoring civil society organizations from G20 countries, as well as multilateral outfits from both India and abroad. Khandu emphasized that the summit provides a remarkable opportunity to showcase the rich and diverse culture and traditions of Arunachal Pradesh while fostering the spirit of cooperation encapsulated in the motto of “One Earth, One Family.”

The C20 summit, with the theme “Diversity, Inclusion, and Mutual Respect,” is being organized by Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari, in collaboration with the Arunachal Pradesh government. The event is taking place in the scenic Namsai district of the state. The inaugural ceremony will be graced by the presence of Chief Minister Pema Khandu, along with other dignitaries.

In his tweet, Chief Minister Khandu highlighted the significance of the C20 summit as an official engagement group of the G20. He described it as a unique platform for civil society organizations to discuss and explore the aspirations of the people, working together to find ways to transform those aspirations into reality.

Officials have stressed the importance of the C20 conclave, emphasizing that it is a major event under India’s G20 Presidency.
