Guwahati, March 01: Assam Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has finalized its list of potential candidates for the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections, marking a significant step in its election preparations.
The list comprises several prominent figures expected to represent the party across various constituencies in the state. While the official announcement of the candidates is pending, the party is optimistic about its electoral prospects.

According to sources, the BJP is likely to nominate the following candidates for key Lok Sabha seats:
- Guwahati: Bijuli Kalita Medhi
- Dibrugarh: Sarbananda Sonowal
- Kaziranga: Kamakhya Prasad Tasa
- Jorhat: Tapan Gogoi
- Tezpur: Ranjit Dutta
- Darang-Udalguri: Dilip Saikia
- Karimganj: Kripanath Mallah
- Silchar: Parimal Suklabaidya
- Nagaon: Suresh Bora
- Lakhimpur: Pradan Barua
- Diphu: Amar Singh Tiso
In the upcoming election, the BJP is poised to contest 11 out of 14 seats in Assam, allocating two seats to its allies Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) for Barpeta and Dhubri constituencies, and one seat to the United People’s Party Liberal (UPPL) for Kokrajhar constituency.
