Guwahati, March 13: In preparation for the forthcoming Assam Assembly elections, the Assam Congress has unveiled its final list of candidates for the state’s legislative seats, marking a significant step in its election strategy.
Among the confirmed candidates, Assam Jatiya Parishad’s Lurinjyoti Gogoi has been nominated to contest from the Dibrugarh constituency.
The Congress has allocated only one seat for its alliance, reserving it for Dibrugarh where Lurinjyoti Gogoi will represent the Assam Jatiya Parishad.
However, the candidate selection process has encountered a temporary pause regarding the Lakhimpur constituency.
