Guwahati, Feb 18: Assam’s Director General of Police, GP Singh, inaugurated the 21-km ‘Guwahati Marathon’ on February 18, emphasizing the importance of fitness and well-being.

Participants of all ages gathered at the venue, highlighting the significance of maintaining good health and promoting fitness.

GP Singh expressed his appreciation for the event, stating, “Mainstreaming fitness is very important. If everyone takes good care of their body and participates in such events, it would be very beneficial for Guwahati.”

He also extended his best wishes to the organizers, hoping that the marathon becomes an annual fixture in Guwahati’s calendar.
