The arrests have been made with the aid of using the Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell on Friday evening.
Besides the authorities officials, the director of a non-public organization that changed engaged in hiring motors and equipment for the de-siltation of channels and drains from April 2 to May 26 changed into arrested.
The Chief Minister’s Special Vigilance Cell registered a case over the problem following an inquiry performed with the aid of using it.

The arrested Assam Civil Service officer changed into serving because the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) whilst the alleged anomalies took place, police said.

The organization additionally allegedly submitted payments to GMC displaying the delivery of motors and equipment at an inflated rate.
