Guwahati, March 06: Assam Minister Pijush Hazarika predicts a decisive victory for BJP if Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi contests from the Jorhat LS seat, estimating a margin of 2.5 lakh votes.
Hazarika emphasized the BJP’s readiness to secure victory in 12 LS seats, with the opposition likely to win only two.
Critiquing Congress, Hazarika highlighted the absence of candidates in key LS seats like Jorhat, Dibrugarh, Tezpur, Kaziranga, and Guwahati, except for Nagoan and Karimganj.

He accused Congress of prioritizing Muslim votes without delivering substantial progress, predicting a shift in voter sentiment.
Hazarika affirmed the BJP’s confidence in securing a significant vote share if Gaurav Gogoi competes against BJP leader Tapan Gogoi in Jorhat.
Additionally, Hazarika announced plans to inaugurate the foundation stone for five schools in Moriani and Titabor, with further school upgrades across the region, earmarking Rs 7-8 crore for the initiative.
