Guwahati, Jan 25: On the occasion of the 75th Republic Day, the central government is set to honor exemplary police personnel from various parts of the country.
Among the recipients, 15 members of Assam Police will be conferred with prestigious awards on January 26, adhering to the nation’s longstanding tradition of recognizing exceptional service.
One distinguished awardee is Surendra Kumar, the Additional Director General of Police (V and AC) in Assam, who will be honored with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM).

Additionally, 14 other deserving officials from Assam Police will be presented with the Police Medal for Meritorious Service.
