Guwahati, April 05: In light of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections and to ensure law and order, District Magistrate PK Dwivedi has enforced Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC) in Kokrajhar district of Assam.

With the Model Code of Conduct already in effect for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Dwivedi emphasized the necessity of implementing Section 144 CrPC to prevent any untoward incidents in the district.
