Kaziranga, Sept 23: In a strategic move aimed at realizing the full potential of Assam’s new tourism policy, construction has begun on a luxurious 5-star hotel resort near Kaziranga National Park. The goal is to draw tourists from around the world to this magnificent natural wonder.

Addressing the media, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal expressed, “In line with the Assam Tourism Department’s efforts, the state government is poised to sign an MoU for the establishment of a five-star hotel near Kaziranga National Park. This prestigious hotel project will be developed in partnership with the renowned Hyatt group of hotels.”

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, who succeeded Sarbananda Sonowal, provided further details, stating that the Hyatt group of hotels will invest Rs 100 crore in this venture, creating a hotel with 120 luxurious rooms to cater to the needs of discerning tourists.

It’s worth noting that this year, the state government has inked a series of record-breaking investment Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) worth Rs 11,314 crore. These agreements are expected to generate over 10,000 employment opportunities within the state.
