New Delhi, May 13: The Board of Cricket Council in India (BCCI) secretary Jay Shah and India captain Rohit Sharma were present at the unveiling ceremony of India’s new kit for the upcoming 2024 T20 World Cup at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.

A recent video shared by BCCI’s official social media handle captures their close examination of the new colors, followed by a discussion between them.

At the event, renowned German sportswear manufacturer Adidas showcased various kits, including those for training, coaching staff, and the main playing kit.

Adidas had previously teased India’s new kit through a video on social media, featuring Indian cricket stars Rohit, Kuldeep Yadav, and Ravindra Jadeja welcoming the new attire at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala.

The new kit features a vibrant blend of blue on the main body with light orange sleeves. Additionally, two orange stripes run parallel along the waist-side, complemented by Adidas’s trademark white stripes. The main kit also boasts tri-colored stripes on its collar.

With India already unveiling their squad for the upcoming World Cup campaign starting on June 5, they emerge as strong contenders for the title, given their stellar performances in recent T20I fixtures.
