Agartala, March 20: BJP in Tripura gears up for the upcoming Lok Sabha election by forming a 74-member Lok Sabha Election Management Committee to oversee the process.
The decision was made following a meeting chaired by BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya and other party officials.
Each parliamentary seat, West and East (ST), will have a dedicated committee comprising 37 members.
Former minister and MLA Bhagaban Das will lead the Lok Sabha West Parliamentary Seat committee, while Papia Datta will serve as Co-Incharge.

Power Minister Ratan Lal Nath and MLA Abhishek Deb Roy will oversee the committee’s operations.
For the East (ST) parliamentary seat, Amit Rakhshit and Bimal Chakma will lead as Lok Sabha In-charge and Co-in-charge, respectively.
Minister Tinku Roy and MLA Sambhu Lal Jamatia will manage the committee as Convener and Co-convener, respectively.
The committee’s formation underscores BJP’s preparations and strategic planning for the upcoming elections, ensuring efficient management and coordination throughout the electoral process.
