Shillong, Nov 30: Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma, along with Sports Minister Shakliar Warjri, conducted a comprehensive review meeting on Wednesday to assess the preparedness for the upcoming Meghalaya Games 2024 in Tura, West Garo Hills. The games are scheduled to take place in January 2024.

The meeting, conducted online with Deputy Commissioners, addressed various crucial aspects of the event’s organization. Discussions included the selection of venues, arrangements for accommodation, and the coordination of essential logistics such as security, water, electricity, food, and materials.

Acknowledging the challenges posed by Tura‘s limited infrastructure, particularly in accommodating approximately 4000 participants, including athletes and officials, Sangma expressed confidence in overcoming these hurdles and ensuring all necessary arrangements are in place before the scheduled event.
