1. Telangana Elections 2023 witness active voting in all 119 Assembly constituencies.

Hyderabad, Nov 30: Voting is in full swing across all 119 Assembly constituencies in Telangana, marking a significant democratic exercise. Polling stations opened their doors at 7 am and will remain operational until 6 pm. In 106 constituencies, the polling duration extends until 5 pm, while in 13 constituencies affected by Left Wing Extremism, it concludes at 4 pm.

Telangana boasts a sizable electorate of 3.26 crore, comprising 1,63,13,268 men and 1,63,02,261 women. A total of 2,290 candidates are in the electoral race, featuring prominent figures like Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, his son K T Rama Rao, state Congress president A Revanth Reddy, and BJP Lok Sabha members Bandi Sanjay Kumar and D Arvind.

The enforcement of the model code of conduct came into effect when the Election Commission unveiled the election schedule on October 9. The newly formed party BRS is contesting candidates in all 119 seats.

According to the seat-sharing arrangement, the BJP and actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena are competing in 111 and 8 seats, respectively.

The Congress has allocated one seat to its ally CPI and is actively participating in 118 others. Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM has entered the fray with candidates in nine city segments. As Telangana residents exercise their right to vote, the election outcome will shape the political landscape of the state in the coming years.
