Gangtok, March 24: The Citizen Action Party in Sikkim has unveiled its second list of candidates for the forthcoming Assembly elections, including one nominee for the Lok Sabha.

In this latest announcement, the party has revealed candidates for three Assembly constituencies: Tikaram Sharma for Rhenock, Phuri Sherpa for Gnathang Machong, and Songmit Lepcha for Lachen-Mangan.

Additionally, Bharat Basnett has been designated as the Lok Sabha candidate for the Citizen Action Party.

Earlier, the CAP had released its initial list of candidates for the upcoming assembly election, comprising 14 individuals.

Sikkim boasts 32 assembly seats and one Lok Sabha constituency. The CAP has opted to contest the elections independently, without forming any alliances.

Among the candidates announced in the first list are Hari Chandra Chettri for Namthang Rateypani, Jigme Bhutia for Yuksom Tashiding, Yangthang Phip for Dhoj Limboo, Darmadin Pem for Dorjee Sherpa, Zoom Salghari for Kaushal Lohagun, and Namchi for Mahesh Rai.

Others include Namcheybong-Severen Rai, Khamdong-Sumati Chettri, Upper Tadong-Rabi Gurung, Arithan-Risckis Pradhan, Gangtok-Dawcho Lepcha, Bhim Kumar Tamang-Upper Burtuk, Dzongu-Jorbu Lepcha, and Sangha-Tsampo Narchu Lepcha.
