Itanagar, July 21: The Indian Air Force (IAF) recently organized an outreach program in Arunachal Pradesh to create awareness about the Agneepath scheme, Agniveervayu, aimed at inducting eligible men and women into the prestigious force. The initiative was taken by the Capital district administration to introduce school children to the numerous opportunities and prospects of joining the Indian Air Force.

A team of dedicated Indian Air Force personnel from the 11 Airmen Selection Centre Guwahati, led by Warrant Officer Dipnarayan Sahu and Junior Warrant Officer Vijay Kumar, visited several government higher secondary schools in the state capital, including Ganga, Arunodaya, and KV-II at Chimpu.

The outreach program was met with enthusiasm and curiosity from the young minds eager to explore the possibilities of a career with the Indian Air Force. The team engaged the students in informative discussions, enlightening them about Agniveer Vayu and the Agneepath scheme. The initiative is an effort to encourage and guide students who have passed 10+2/intermediate or equivalent examinations with at least 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. Such eligible students were informed about the upcoming online registration, scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 17.

The Capital District Commissioner (DC), Talo Potom, emphasized the importance of such recruitment drives for the youth of the state. These opportunities not only offer employment prospects but also serve as a means to strengthen the armed forces. The DC underlined the significance of empowering the unemployed youth by providing them with platforms to explore career options in the Indian Air Force.

EAC (Hq) Khoda Lasa, during the event, urged the students to make the most of this informative outreach program by the Indian Air Force and spread the word to their families, friends, and neighbors. By doing so, they can ensure that no deserving candidate misses out on such valuable employment opportunities. The aim of this publicity campaign is to reach out to schools and colleges across the region, presenting various employment opportunities while adhering to specific eligibility criteria.

The program also included a question-answer round, wherein students actively participated and displayed their eagerness to learn more about the Indian Air Force. As a token of appreciation for their involvement, the students were felicitated with prizes during the event.
