Gangtok, March 20: Sikkim’s political landscape experiences a significant transformation as former secretaries and an ex-MLA align with the ruling SKM party.
During the Dentam Vijay Bhava Jan Sammelan on March 20, several notable figures, including Raju Basnett, Chewang Gyatso Bhutia, Gopal Baraily, Bharti Sharma, and Hemendra Adhikari, made their presence felt.
SKM President Prem Singh Tamang graced the event, marking a pivotal moment in Sikkim’s political scene.
This shift follows the recent inclusion of former SDF minister GM Gurung, CB Karki, and ex-legislator Chandra Maya Subba into the SKM party on March 3.

Their decision was formalized during the culmination of SKM’s public outreach program, Ghar Dailo Abhiyan, held in Rangpo.
