Lucky Ali

Guwahati, June 29: Renowned music director and singer Lucky Ali has failed to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of Assamese filmmaker Kadambari Kashyap in his recent music video for the song “Sayyah.” Despite Kadambari’s directorial contribution, she was left uncredited and unpaid for her efforts.

The collaboration began with the initial shooting of the song in Shillong. However, when Kadambari requested the footage for post-production, Lucky Ali’s team failed to deliver as promised. It was only a month later that she received news from the project manager that they intended to “reshoot” the entire footage, disregarding the shots from the previous shoot under her directorial supervision.

To make matters worse, not only did they continuously delay her payment process, but they also included footage shot by Kadambari in the music video without giving her any credit for her hard work and that of her team.

Despite being informed that her footage would be dropped and replaced with a new team, Kadambari was disheartened to find shots from her shoot included in the final video, with no mention of her team in the credits.

This blatant disregard for Kadambari’s contributions has left her deeply disappointed. She poured her blood, sweat, and creativity into directing the shoot, only to have her efforts go entirely unacknowledged.

It is worth noting that a popular young actress and a well-known YouTuber were also involved in the music video but were not credited or included in the final cut. Their contributions to the project were overlooked, further highlighting the lack of recognition for the individuals involved in the making of the video.

This incident raises concerns about the importance of giving due credit and fair compensation to the talented individuals working behind the scenes of the entertainment industry. It serves as a reminder of the significance of recognizing and valuing the hard work, creativity, and contributions of all those involved in the production process.

As discussions surrounding the incident continue, it is hoped that Lucky Ali and his team will address the issue and take the necessary steps to rectify the situation. The film industry should strive to promote a culture of appreciation and fairness, ensuring that all contributors are recognized and duly rewarded for their valuable contributions.
