1. Police-led flying squads in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, confiscated Rs 31,95,700 in cash.
2. Additionally, they seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth approximately Rs 32,410.

Itanagar, March 23: Flying squads in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh, seized a substantial amount of liquor bottles and cash totaling Rs 40 lakh ahead of the upcoming elections.

Over the past two days, police-led teams confiscated Rs 31,95,700 in cash and Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) valued at around Rs 32,410.

Notably, Rs 1,50,000 was seized in the Mirmir Charali area, Rs 29,69,700 near the Kalibari, Hi-region area, and Rs 76,500 in the Raneghat area during a search operation conducted on Thursday.

Earlier, on March 20, flying squads confiscated Rs 3.75 lakh in cash in Namsai.

These efforts are part of ongoing initiatives to uphold the integrity and transparency of the electoral process.

In a recent development, the Flying Squad Team in Lekang intercepted Rs 2,25,000 at Dirak gate around 6:20 pm and an additional Rs 1,50,000 at around 8:30 pm.
