Shillong, October 03: Former Meghalaya CM Late E K Mawlong’s youngest son and an assistant professor was charred to death when the car he was travelling in caught fire in Meghalaya’s Ri-Bhoi district.
The incident took place on the Shillong-Guwahati highway on Saturday.
The deceased person was identified as Ferdinand B Lyngdoh who was the youngest son of former Meghalaya CM Late E K Mawlong and the brother of Congress MLA George Lyngdoh.

A police official of Ri-Bhoi district said that, the vehicle, in which Ferdinand B Lyngdoh was traveling suddenly caught fire at Umran area on Shillong-Guwahati highway.
Lyngdoh was an assistant professor at a college affiliated with the Imphal-based Central Agriculture University.
