Tinsukia, May 08: In a decisive move against the proliferation of illegal arms, Assam Police, in collaboration with security forces, apprehended Dhan Bora, a former member of the United Liberation Front of Asom (ULFA), suspected of arms trafficking in Doomdooma, Tinsukia district.

Acting on intelligence inputs, a joint team initiated a late-night search operation starting from the Doomdooma bridge, ultimately leading to Bora’s residence in Kordoiguri Borgorah, Doomdooma, where he was arrested.

During the raid, authorities discovered incriminating evidence in Bora’s possession, including an American pistol and 12 rounds of live ammunition, underlining the grave threat posed by his possession of these illegal weapons.

Bora’s arrest marks a significant milestone in Assam Police’s efforts to combat the unlawful arms trade, demonstrating their unwavering commitment to upholding peace and security in the region.
