Itanagar, May 08: In the early hours of May 8, an earthquake measuring 3.1 on the Richter Scale struck Lower Subansiri in Arunachal Pradesh. The tremors were recorded at 4:55 am, according to the National Centre for Seismology (NCS).

This follows a moderate earthquake of magnitude 4.0 that occurred near Mon, Nagaland, on May 1. The epicenter of this earthquake was located 90 km away from Mon and originated in Myanmar, as reported by the National Centre for Seismology.

The earthquake in Myanmar had a magnitude of 4.0 and its epicenter was situated at Latitude 26.34 and Longitude 95.85.

The depth of the epicenter was recorded at a shallow 10 kilometers, according to the NCS.
