The decision to label these organizations as unlawful associations is rooted in the government’s assessment of their involvement in secessionist, subversive, terrorist, and violent activities. By invoking the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act, the government aims to proactively address the threat posed by these groups and prevent further incidents of violence in the region.

The notification issued by the MHA emphasizes the government’s commitment to maintaining law and order in Manipur and safeguarding the security of its residents.
