Guwahati, Nov 20: In the aftermath of India’s disheartening loss to a dominant Australian team in the World Cup Final, a young resident of Guwahati’s Birubari neighborhood is suspected to have succumbed to shock.

The individual, identified as Pranjal Majumdar, was an ITI student residing in Birubari. Allegedly, Pranjal, deeply affected by India’s defeat, went to bed without having a meal.

Family members reported that Pranjal, experiencing distress, got out of bed multiple times during the night. However, when they checked on him, he was found unresponsive on the bed.

Concerned, the family rushed him to Hayat Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by the attending doctor. The body has been sent for a post-mortem examination, and the exact cause of death remains undetermined.

Relatives of the deceased claim that Pranjal’s demise was a result of the trauma induced by India’s humiliating defeat to Australia in the World Cup final. Importantly, it has been disclosed that Pranjal did not suffer from any terminal illness.

While the family suggests the possibility of an extreme step taken by Pranjal, conclusive details await the post-mortem report for a clearer understanding of the circumstances surrounding his tragic death.
